HP30-BP was developed by Addisperse Inc. using a modified grade of Applied Minerals – DRAGONITE HP clay.
HP30-BP is recommended for use in PLA and PLA/PHA based biopolymers and composites. The addition of 2% by weight of HP30-BP maximizes the crystallinity (Tc) above 45%, improving product dimensional stability, reducing part warpage and significantly reducing cycle time during injection molding. The addition of HP30-BP to PLA, PLA/PHA composites, containing natural fibers, is an effective way to increase flexural strength, HDT and dimensional stability properties of injection molded and extruded parts.
